Work and Cliches
Posted by Julio Hernandez-Miyares under All About Work
Everything I write at work eventually becomes a cliche and I work to much which means I write too many cliches and prevents me from blogging which means my use of language languishes.
Furthermore too much work results on one dimensional thinking regardless of the interest level of the work which luckily is high.
So what to do? I need to get into the habit which I have exposed previously of writing something each and everyday whether I have something or nothing to day. I should not go one month without contributing to this blog and as I am the sole contributor leaving it to become dated and sparse.
Having a self-imposed rule not to dwell and write about work makes the topics and stories to surface somewhat limited. I believe all of us with enough discipline could write interesting volumes with the nuttiness that usually permeates a typical “day at the office”. It would be realer then the TV sitcom “The Office” and probably just as funny but no way changing the names to protect the innocent would suffice to hide whom the real characters were. Therefore I just stay away from it all together.
Anyway, on to the best part of the year - Thanksgiving , Christmas and New Years. Pictures to come from all the feasts including yesterday’s Thanksgiving extravaganza where I was the head chef.
