Does the World need another blogger?
Posted by Julio Hernandez-Miyares under Nothing in General
Why would I bother to do this blogging thing? Putting thoughts out on the web , exposing my thoughts and feelings as many of those self-centered, self-indulgent celebrities do on Oprah!
Well, I guess the answer is its just so irresistable. I guess we all have a secret desire to be heard or at least have the possibility of being heard.
What will I write about? Not sure yet. There is work which consumes to much of my life and about which I could write volumes. The problem about blogging centered on work is someone at work may just read what I author and take umbrage and worse yet the person taking umbrage may be in my management chain. Lets face it, gossiping about management is a career especially at a large American corporation which I happen to be employed at.

Julio, the world doesn’t need bloggers. Bloggers need the world.
As humans, one of our primary drivers is the need to communicate with other people.
Don’t gossip about work. Be honest, open and authentic. Write about what really matters to you. It won’t matter to everyone, but it might matter to some. Their lives will be enriched by what you write.
The mistake often made is that people believe they don’t have to censor what they write in their blog. This is foolish. Just as you wouldn’t say certain things when face-to-face with someone in public, the same rules ought to apply to what’s written in public online. Keep that in mind, and you’ll be fine.
Welcome to the Blogosphere, Julio. It’s been waiting for you.

I am not a blogger……just a curious amateur in this field…..Just want to agree with Dossy Shiobara in her comment that what you write might not matter to everyone, but it might matter to some and might enrich their lives……
