Took the kids and the old wife to see this show on Saturday night. Quite a head trip for all concerned. The video doesn’t do it justice, you need to be there but gives you an idea.

How to deal with the high and rising cost of food? Well here at the Miyares Farm already starting to eat what we sow! Arugula, Spinach, Tomatoes , Corn, Blueberries and more.
This year only planted a small patch but expect to increase to an acre or more by 2009. The plans also call for a hen house for fresh eggs.
The photo was taken early in the day , June 14th 2008 to be exact to the day. The land looked parched and it was but had a deluge late in the afternoon which brought much needed relief for what has been a dry late spring.
Rasputin, the guard dog at the Miyares Farm poses defiantly for the camera in the photo to the left next to a row of Tomato plantings.

Here I am at the Top of the same building climbed by Alain Roberts and the other dude from Brooklyn this past week.
I made it up in the conventional style.
I watched them build this skyscraper from the foundation all the way to the pinnacle. It was a thrill to get to the top while they were still working on it though the ironworkers had long since departed.

In the second photo you can spot the “ladder” like skin to the building which made climbing it a cinch to anyone crazy enough to try. The building is covered in its entirety.
Now if someone can get me to the top of the new World Trade Center Tower 1 (aka Freedom Tower)!

New Yorkers enjoying a beautiful Spring day in late May 2008 on the Great Lawn in Central Park. Dropped a pretty penny at Tavern on the Green. Took the extended family for brunch and since I guess I look like the rich one in the group, was handed the check no questions asked.
