Cuban Folk Artist Maria Victoria de Bernard at work on a gloomy fall day in her art Studio near Hudson, New York.
Hudson, New York which is in Columbia County 120 miles north of New York City has become a magnet for artists attracted by rural setting and progressive mindset of the local population.

I figured I would introduce the blogesphere to Serafin Hernandez-Miyares. With the tremendous spike in traffic to my site as evidenced by recent statistics I suspect there is demand for more details about aspects of my personal life. Since Serafin has no privacy concerns, I may as well write about him and also see how high up in the Search rankings I can reach.

Interestingly enough, most of the traffic is via strange user-agents like bot this and bot that or this crawler , that crawler. Appears that most of the interest in my blog comes from non-sentient automatons.

This picture is of Serafin at 3 weeks of age. Somewhat young to be away from mom but he adapted nicely to his new home.
He is now about 7 months old, single in fact never met a female dog as far as I know though he does disappear into the woods and doesn’t return for hours whenever he has a chance.

I am now a famous photographer! Schmap found one of the photos I took of the Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne, Florida and decided to use it in their latest Miami, Florida electronic tourbook. A widget that allows my fans to download the guide is included in this entry. I had uploaded the photo to Flick and tagged it with [tag]Key Biscayne[/tag]. Just this week I received a request to license a photo I took of an independent Bookstore in Hudson New York for an article someone is writing about the overall demise of independent Bookstores.

Been a few weeks since I have been able to post a blog entry. Busy with work and kids and the host of administrative grunt activities that consume life. I have noticed in the few weeks since I have posted a blog entry that Google’s ranking of my blog when doing a vanity search has gone down. My dad also known as Julio Hernandez-Miyares, that i had totally eclipsed and relegated to the 2 or 3 page of results is making a strong comeback. Well, that is a call to action to me to stop that positive movement for him and negative for me. You see, this is a zero sum game. No room for more then one winner.

In the never ending quest to get as much cross-linking as possible, I am adding a link to Naymz. This site appears to be designed to allow a person to aggregate the various sites where they have some manner of a profile ie LinkedIn, Yelp , Flick, etc. What the exact purpose I would use it for other then a place to consolidate the links to various sites I maintain a profile and hopefully by extension increase the rank of me when querying “Julio Miyares” , I don’t know.
